How to assemble a Presentation Board for your Science and Engineering Investigation Award Project

For each project you will need:

  • Corflute presentation

board (610mm x 915mm)

  • Corflute header board

(610mm x 305mm)

  • Coloured cardboard for

the presentation backing (any colour)

  • Coloured cardboard for

the header board Pre-cut corflute boards can be purchased from Eye Spy Signs in Cambridge, Hobart,

  • ph. 6248 5544, or from Burnie Print and Design, ph. 6431 3848.

Step 1: Measure a straight line 23 cm in from the edges of the larger presentation board, as shown in the diagram below. Use a Stanley knife to carefully score through the first layer of the plastic so you can bend the board along these lines. Do NOT cut all the way through!

Step 2: Now to cut out small slits for the header board to slot into. Measure 7cm

  • utward from the fold lines, and 4cm from the top of the board. Cut small slots (around

0.8cm wide) in the top of the board, as shown in red in the below diagram. This is where the header board will slot in. Step 3: Cover the large presentation board and the header board with thin coloured

  • cardboard. Double-sided sticky tape does the trick well. This can be easier if you have

folded the cardboard to fit the two folds in the corflute board beforehand!
