Budget as of 18 August 2016 At this time, approximately $514K over budget
- How did this occur?
- Referendum time line- started 2011 / construction occurred in
2015 & 2016
- Estimates did include escalation; however, once the budget
was complete, approvals were stalled at NJSDA for approximately 1.5 years
- Construction economy became less competitive in 2015 &
2016 due to other referendums being bid at the same time
- What are we doing to reduce the budget over-run?
- Strategized 6 separate bid packages in an effort to increase
competition and maximize efficiencies
- Review the fixed furnishings and equipment (desks, chairs,
tables, etc.) to determine what is exactly needed and purchase
- ver time
- Review the remaining site work improvements
