Important Dates:

Senior Awards Night: May 21st @ 6:30 in the

  • theater. *should receive invitation soon. No

jeans allowed! Senior Walk (at elementary schools) - May 21st 8:30 -11:00 am. *Must have Cap and Gown! Input needed on survey.* Senior Spirit Week- May 20th-May 24th First Graduation Practice: May 23rd from 7:30-10:30 am, at school. 2nd practice- At the Cabarrus Arena June 11th 12:30- 2:30pm.

All graduating seniors must wear appropriate attire, along with cap and gown to the school and arena as stated in the dress code policy. *BOTH PRACTICES ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL CCHS GRADUATING SENIORS* Seniors who do not attend graduation practice will not be allowed to participate in graduation.

*Note from the Principal:

If you are planning to check out after practice, you must plan ahead. You will find an Early Dismissal for Graduation Practice on our website. Do NOT use the normal early dismissal form. This form needs to be filled out by May 21st, which is Senior Awards Night. We will not accept notes brought in the day of practice or phone calls. You must fill this form out even if you are 18 and planning to check out.

mood, or persona. Tuesday May 21st: college shirt day

  • Wear future college gear or

dress in career gear.

Dress Attire for Graduation Practices and Ceremony

For students wearing a dress, please follow the guidelines below:

  • Dress: school (dress code) appropriate dress; color and pattern must not be obscene,

fluorescent, or be able to be seen through the gown.

  • Skirt/Blouse: Business Casual—a colored skirt that follows the same criteria above and solid

white dress shirt.

  • Prom/party dresses, evening wear, and sundresses are not appropriate for graduation.
  • The skirt/dress must be school appropriate, not longer than your gown, not show at the top of

your gown, and be no more than 3 inches above the knee.

  • No strapless gowns or off-the-shoulder dress.
  • Shoes: Dark colored or neutral shoes. Sandals with a heel strap are permitted. Flip Flops are

NOT appropriate for graduation. High heels are permissible, but please remember that you will be doing a lot of walking and climbing up and down stairs.

  • A white collar attached to the gown is permissible, if desired.

Students Wearing Slacks and a Shirt

★ Shirt: Plain, white dress shirt with white collar; Polo shirts are NOT appropriate for graduation. ★ Pants: Solid dark or khaki dress slacks (no cargo pockets) (Jeans, shorts, and other non-dress pants are NOT appropriate for graduation.) ★ Shoes: Solid black, navy, brown, or tan dress shoes (Sneakers, flip flops, sandals,, and

Boat shoes and boots are permissible if leather and unscuffed. ★ Socks: If socks are visible, they must be appropriate pattern and color. ★ Tie: All ties and bowties are acceptable; however, if a tie has design or pattern, it may not be obscene, fluorescent, or be able to be seen through the gown.

Senior Fees:

If you do not pay your fees owed you will not be allowed to participate in graduation (cafeteria, library, school, athletic, JROTC, band, chorus, missing books, supplies etc) Check with your teachers and guidance regarding your fees. If they are not paid by May 22nd you will not participate in graduation practice, which means you will not walk at graduation. *ALL FEES ARE PAID TO MRS. HILL GUIDANCE*

Graduation Logistics

Parking - students will enter the arena at the front entrance but park in the rear lot. Arrival time - Students must arrive 1 ½ hours before

Graduation Logistics

Doors opening - Doors will open to family and friends 1 hour beforehand. Seating/ tickets -. The arena is cracking down on seat holding. It has caused a lot of trouble in the past and family members will be told to scoot in. Family must arrive early or arrive together to get seating. * MAKE SURE EACH INDIVIDUAL FAMILY MEMBER HAS A TICKET*
