What is a Personal Graduation Plan? A personal graduation plan is a working document used by counselors to track student completion of graduation requirements. It is a tool used to document grades, assessments, acceleration and other requirements by law. The personal graduation plan is an opportunity for students and counselors to meet individual needs.

Graduation Requirements Foundation High School Program (22 credits) ❖ English (4 credits) English 1, English 2, English 3 and an advanced English Course ❖ Mathematics (3 credits) Algebra 1, Geometry and an advanced Math ❖ Science (3 credits) Biology, Integrated Physics & Chemistry or an advanced Science and an advanced Science ❖ Social Studies (3 credits) W. History or W. Geography, U.S. History , U.S. Government (0.5) and Economics (0.5)

FHSP with Endorsement 26 Total credits required Student must complete requirements for FHSP Plus: 4 credits in Math 4 credits in Science 2 additional electives

Distinguished Level of Achievement Requirements: ❖ Completion of Foundation Program requirements ❖ Completion of 1 or more Endorsement requirements ❖ 4 credits of Math including Algebra 2 ❖ 4 credits in Science
Distinguished Level of Achievement Benefits: ❖ Allows students to compete for Top 10% automatic admissions eligibility at any Texas public university ❖ Positions students among the first in line for a Texas grant ❖ Better preparation for college level coursework
State Testing Requirements STAAR end-of-course (EOC) exams are state mandated tests given during the final weeks of a high school course. In addition to meeting graduation course requirements, students are required to pass five end-of-course exams to earn a diploma from a Texas public high school. Those five exams are given when a student takes English I and II, Biology, Algebra I and U.S. History courses.

Multidisciplinary (4X4) A coherent sequence or series of courses selected from one of the following: • Four advanced courses that prepare a student to enter the workforce successfully or postsecondary education without remediation from within one endorsement area or among endorsement areas that are not in a coherent sequence • Four credits in each of the four foundation subject areas to include English IV and chemistry and/or physics • Four credits in AP, IB, or dual credit selected from English, mathematics, science, social studies, economics, languages other than English, or fine arts

The remainder of the week…. Each teacher will bring their class to the library. Students will register for classes on the computer. Each student will need to be able to login to Skyward. Bring something to write with. Students will select their courses for the 2018-2019 school year. Plans will be signed electronically.
