  4. 10/18/2017 Outreach tips  Set goals: We want to secure 100 new donors during Give Miami Day.  Make a plan: We will reach new donors by encouraging current ones to get their friends to give with them.  Build social into the strategy: Use the networks you have in place. Be strategic about new platforms.  Be your authentic self! 4

  8. 10/18/2017 Timeline  Now:  Publicize: Emails, digital flyers and video – now is the time for that “save the date.” Share givemiamiday.org video soon.  Plan mailers and printed collateral  Think about pledges  Start the social media conversation – share your plans, especially if you have an event.  End of October:  Website: Add the Give Miami Day button on your website homepage with a link to GiveMiamiDay.org.  Start using Give Miami Day digital collateral.  Follow and retweet #GiveMiamiDay content. 8

  9. 10/18/2017 Timeline – final weeks  Website: Link graphics to your donation page on GiveMiamiDay.org. Embed your donation widget.  Facebook: Change your Facebook profile and cover photo for the Give Miami Day logo– and tweak your Facebook “About” language.  Emails: Add info about Give Miami Day to all of the email signatures in your organization.  Prizes: Which ones will you go for? 9

  10. 10/18/2017 Timeline  November 15:  Have an email blast ready for the beginning of Give Miami Day.  Remind donors of any targeted prizes/timeslots and the difference a donation can make.  During Give Miami Day:  Share updates and milestones. Share pictures and video. Share goals throughout the day.  Say thank you and encourage donors to share their donations on Facebook and Twitter. Be social, not spammy. 10
