Luggage

  • British Airways sets a limit of 23kg for one case plus a small piece of hand language, but

remember you have to carry both items around airports and metro stations – so please keep your packing to a minimum… especially if you do intend buying discounted clothes. The exact details for luggage are:

  • Hand Luggage: One piece of standard baggage no bigger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm including the

handle, pockets and wheels and one laptop or handbag no bigger than 45cm x 36cm x 20cm including the handle and pockets (must fit under the seat)

  • Checked Luggage: One piece not exceeding 23kg and no bigger than 90cm x 75cm x 43cm

Check you have the following:-

Arriving in America

Out flight from the UK (London Heathrow) to the east coast of America, takes approximately 7 hours 30 minutes. NB: As a consequence of recent troubles, check- in times at major airports now take much longer so we aim to leave School early morning on the 10th Feb. (06.30 outside the 6th form learning curve) We land at John F Kennedy Airport, New York at about 4.15pm and after collecting

  • ur bags and clearing immigration we will take a pre-booked bus to the hotel–

(Skyliner Charters). We should be at the Hotel at approximately 6.30pm on Friday

  • afternoon. You will have eaten two meals on board the British Airways flight so you

shouldn’t be too hungry, but there will be an opportunity to get a snack in/near the hotel soon after we arrive.
