Where it all began: January 2014 Four friends have an idea!!!
The aims: • To raise money for adopted charities (local and national) • To promote business and tourism in Bideford • To foster community spirit within Bideford and surrounding villages • To promote the goodwill and involvement of the wider community
Small Beginnings: • Discussed idea with council / councillors • Worked closely with other groups and organisations • Set date (31 st May 2014) and began advertising • Involved local traders who were invited to have stands at the show • Expected around 300 bikes • Recruited marshals – volunteers to attend!!!!! without whom the show could not take place.
A few more bikes than they expected!!!!
£1000 raised for each of the two nominated charities!!!!
