  3. Foundation Communities • Founded in 1989 in Austin • 19 properties with 2,950 units in Austin and North Texas • Housing + services model • Financial Programs serve more than 30,000 families • 80% of budget is earned income

Permanent Supportive Housing • 5 Communities: 600 units • Single Room Occupancy (SRO) • Furnished/Bills Paid • Rents range from $400-$670 o Majority of residents were homeless/chronic homeless o High incidence of mental health & substance abuse issues o Services focused on integrated health care o Long wait lists/limited availability for PSH

  8. On-Site Support Services • Over 700 kids per day in afterschool programs • Adult education: ESL, computer skills, etc. • On-site health and fitness programming

Children’s HOME Initiative (CHI) 117 Units for Homeless/At-risk Families • 18 month transitional program • Income below 30% of median • Lower rents • Participation in case management required • Dedicated Child Advocate • Opportunity to transition in-place • Some units for Parents In Recovery • Longest waitlists
