Qnbn approach

Green-Field areas

Qnbn will invest and roll out fiber infrastructure, ensuring new developments are fiber-ready when complete.

Existing areas with good infrastructure

Qnbn will lease ducts access and take responsibility for rolling out and maintaining fiber infrastructure. Fiber access is then leased on a wholesale basis.

Existing areas requiring upgrade

Qnbn will roll out infrastructure in collaboration with government entities. Qnbn will invest in new or additional fiber to upgrade areas where fiber does not meet required standards.

Qnbn & rollout plan

  • GPON networks with one splitting level of 1:32 (utilizing only 25

ports) making a 100 Mb DL and 50 Mb UL available.

  • P2P networks capable of handling, hypothetically, as much traffic as

the active equipment may generate.

  • More than 15 COs across Qatar connecting any two locations within

its coverage, with redundancy wherever needed.
