Overview ¡of ¡Wafer ¡Tes/ng ¡ FE-­‑I4B ¡Chip ¡ Wafer ¡ • Working ¡on ¡inspec/ng ¡ the ¡next ¡genera/on ¡of ¡ Front ¡End ¡pixel ¡chips: ¡ FE-­‑I4B ¡ • Chips ¡come ¡to ¡LBL ¡in ¡ wafers ¡of ¡60 ¡chips ¡ Probe ¡Sta/on ¡ Probe ¡Card ¡ • Wafers ¡are ¡probed ¡ using ¡the ¡ALESSI ¡ probe ¡sta/on ¡ • Each ¡wafer ¡probed ¡in ¡ ~40 ¡hours. ¡ • So ¡far, ¡have ¡ completed ¡probing ¡on ¡ 21 ¡full ¡wafers ¡

Overview ¡of ¡Wafer ¡Analysis ¡ Once ¡tes/ng ¡is ¡complete, ¡results ¡are ¡analyzed ¡using ¡the ¡Wafer ¡Analysis ¡ • program. ¡ For ¡each ¡chip ¡in ¡the ¡wafer, ¡reads ¡out ¡a ¡numerical ¡result ¡and ¡assigns ¡a ¡ • status ¡(Green, ¡Yellow, ¡Red, ¡or ¡Blue) ¡for ¡each ¡of ¡the ¡many ¡tests. ¡ Green: ¡Suitable ¡for ¡use ¡in ¡IBL ¡(Insertable ¡B-­‑Layer) ¡ • ¡Yellow: ¡Some ¡defects ¡(i.e. ¡broken ¡column, ¡somewhat ¡high ¡current, ¡ • etc.) ¡but ¡otherwise ¡in ¡decent ¡shape ¡ Red: ¡Not ¡usable ¡(no ¡hits, ¡crazy ¡current, ¡etc.). ¡ • Blue: ¡Some ¡strange ¡result, ¡should ¡be ¡judged ¡manually ¡ • Status ¡for ¡each ¡test ¡is ¡determined ¡based ¡on ¡a ¡cut ¡file: ¡these ¡cuts ¡have ¡ • been ¡tuned ¡to ¡represent ¡the ¡mean ¡distribu/ons ¡of ¡the ¡results. ¡ Also ¡generates ¡distribu/on ¡and ¡map ¡plots ¡for ¡each ¡test, ¡and ¡for ¡each ¡chip. ¡ • Can ¡now ¡save ¡all ¡WaferAnalysis ¡data! ¡ • Have ¡saved ¡all ¡probed ¡wafer ¡results ¡in ¡analysis ¡computer ¡as ¡wafer ¡ • project ¡(.waprj) ¡files. ¡ Can ¡now ¡access ¡them ¡within ¡seconds, ¡rather ¡that ¡~15 ¡minutes. ¡ •

Needle ¡Resistance: ¡Conclusions ¡ • We ¡fail ¡to ¡observe ¡any ¡correla/on ¡between ¡ changes ¡in ¡needle ¡resistance ¡and ¡no/ceable ¡ varia/on ¡in ¡success ¡of ¡current-­‑related ¡scans. ¡ • Needle ¡scrubbing ¡procedure ¡seems ¡to ¡be ¡ superfluous. ¡ • Wafer ¡tes/ng ¡will ¡con/nue—most ¡kinks ¡seem ¡ to ¡have ¡been ¡ironed ¡out. ¡ – ~8 ¡wafers ¡leu ¡to ¡probe ¡in ¡current ¡batch ¡ – New ¡batch ¡of ¡15 ¡wafers ¡just ¡in. ¡
