SUMMARY

  • Given the newer schools were built in 1993 and older buildings date back

to the 70’s, 60’s and 50’s, all schools are in need of upgrades to meet the needs of today’s 21st century learner

  • AGC’s Data DIGest reported that the Producer Price Index (PPI) increased

up to 3.6 % for school construction from October 2016 to October 2017 largely due to the increase in the cost of construction materials and labor Items listed below are the recommended priorities for the Edgefield County School District:

  • Access Control: Safe and Secure Entrances for all Schools
  • A Plan for Growth in the Merriwether Area
  • Program Needs for the High School and the Career Center
