Smooth dataflow at interfaces requires formatting. DATA MODEL NEEDED !

The data model is a catalog of objects along with their type description (example : gain, double float / Simulated PSF, fits image) Two data models :

  • Data model of OUs objects : Catalog of all objects manipulated by the OU
  • > OU-SIM may be asked to produce these by-products to bypass some processing

step ans test specific sections of the pipeline.

  • > to which granularity ?
  • > OU-VIS examples: single science exposure, flatfield exposure.
  • > Which of these objects requires to be simulated ?
  • Data model of OU-SIM VIS inputs relevant to the production of OU-SIM VIS outputs
  • > catalogs of astronomical objects (galaxies, stars)
