How would you rate Central on the following?
What can we do to improve any of the areas above? (Repeated Comments)
- Respect times of Sunday School Classes
- Time management during services
- Provide training for Sunday School teachers
- Restructure services
- Hire staff for youth and church
- Create small discussion groups at each age level to ask what they feel is missing
- For Central to improve and grow, there must be programs/events/opportunities for each
age group
- Communication, communication, communication
- An active children's program would help bring in more families
- We need to have open forums with both services to discuss what is important in a
spiritual service
- When a member has been absence for a while someone needs to follow up
- Simply show that we care for everyone
Additional repeated comments for fellowship-building:
50 responses Start AND end services on time. If more time is needed for services, start them sooner. One of my few opportunities for small group ministries is my Sunday School Class - but when early service ends at 10:10-10:15, we have no time left to get together prior to traditional service beginning. More Bible Studies Missions in Community We need to reach out to our new members and find out what drew them to us. Learn from what is working. Need more things to bring the congregation together. Activities where members from both services are working and/or meeting together so we can get to know each other. We need to consider growing a children choir and recruit at our elementary schools. We need to consider a after school program for youth and a monthly fun night for children .
Offer Conferences, Workshops, Field Trips Introduce new members during a special luncheon Develop a Hospitality/Caring Committee Supper Club Better communication on what is going on at Family Night We need a welcoming Church that reaches out to everyone in the community that supplies the needs that would encourage
- thers not currently in church that Central is a great place to
raise families while worshiping God. Quarterly field trip opportunities for the rest of congregation much like the Central Trekkers. Develop small groups or special 4 week bible studies in people's homes quarterly. We need to reinstate meet and greet time for both services.. We need to emphasize our wonderful and talented musicians. Great choir, excellent pianist, and hand bell choirs . I want to leave our worship service with a song in my heart.

Be welcoming to all!
Be More welcoming and visit its members I miss saying the Lord’s Prayer every Sunday We do not take advantage of families involved in Scouts or the Movies at the Joy Theatre (and
- ther things we support). We need to be inviting
those families to join us. We need to focus on local Mission Needs Keep Sunday School and Worship Services schedule There seems to be a lack of concern for Sunday School
I am concerned about attendance being down.
People are in many ways feeling uncomfortable in the current atmosphere, including giving to the church financially We need to consolidate Adult Sunday School classes into fewer, larger classes. Identifying reason why people have left Central (other than moving and death) could indicate problems that should be addressed. Also miss having communion. We rarely have it anymore. Covered but worthy of a repeat - critical we develop a relevant and appealing set of programs and maybe services specifically geared to attracting and retaining youth, teens and young adults. Our successful future in our homes and at church is on the shoulders of the young, we need new blood!
