ETC Services

Within 48 hours of a disaster, the ETC provides:

  • Basic security communications

services

  • Shared internet connectivity from a

central location

  • Shared voice communications services

In the four week following a disaster, ETC services are expanded & enhanced.

Services are deployed in defined ‘common operational areas’, i.e. areas approved by the Humanitarian Country Team in which the majority of UN agencies & NGOs are based.
