Philosophy

Larkspur-Corte Madera’s Elementary Physical Education program balances instruction in teamwork, coordination, skill building, game playing, body awareness and overall

  • fitness. A love of movement is essential in maintaining a healthy life both physically,

and socially/emotionally throughout adulthood. As students progress through PE, K-5, they develop the essential skills of collaboration, communication, and kindness, the techniques and strategies used to play a range of sports, and the ability to set and achieve personal goals.

1. Safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe to take risks in learning. 2. Lessons are designed to develop:

  • sport skills and improve fitness levels.
