Rain water is somewhat acidic because it falls through the atmosphere it encounters carbon dioxide (CO2) with which it reacts to from carbonic acid as follows

H2O + CO2 = H2CO3 water + carbon dioxide = carbonic acid

Rain water combines with gases in air & becomes slightly acidic and the following reaction takes place .

The slightly acidic water dissolves rock and forms hardness. The hardness in the water comes from the water passes over and permeates through rocks such as lime stone, seashells or marble forming soluble calcium ions and bicarbonate ions that dissolved into the water from soluble rocks through which the rain water flows.

The UB'CAL uses a series of controlled complex modulating high frequency waveform that neutralizes the bonding ability of minerals that are contained in our water. This field effectively agitates different size molecules likely to form scale & to break the bonds between molecules & the water. This results the break down of large mineral crystals into tiny mineral particles & then prevent them from reacting with other minerals or bonding to any surface to from scales.
