  3. Who are the Edgbarrow PTA? Everyone’s Welcome! Current Elected PTA Team •  Andrew Johnson: Chair We’re a group of motivated parents, who enjoy working together to support the school! • Our objectives are to raise much needed funds, to bring parents & teachers together and to have fun doing so!  Richard Love: Vice Chair • This year the PTA will raise ~ £25,000 for the School. Money directly invested into our children's education. • There are many opportunities to be involved, whether  Sarah Rooke: Secretary you have just a couple of hours for one activity a year, or want to be regularly involved in running the PTA. • All PTA roles are open for election/re-election – but in particular we are looking for a new Treasurer , as Julia  Julia Smith: Treasurer regretfully has to focus on other commitments.

Events of all sizes, for everyone… From planning & arranging major events to making the best bacon sandwich! • We actively support school events, some as fundraising activities, others as a service to students, parents and staff. • The Christmas Shopping Fair , raises funds and brings Careers Evening together the Crowthorne community and local traders. • Working with the School, the PTA play a key role in organising the Careers Evening , helping students investigate different opportunities for work or study. • We provide refreshments for numerous Concerts and other events, not forgetting the Gardening & Decorating Days that save the school thousands of £’s each year. How can YOU get involved?  Example Activities and Types of Help Needed Activity Ways to be involved Bags2School Collecting Donated Items Christmas Fair Serving Drinks, Staffing Tombola Selling Raffle Tickets, Event Organisation Shows & Concerts Drinks Sales, Serving Tea, Wine etc. Careers Evening Organising Attendees, Planning etc. Cash for Coins Coin Collection, working with Treasurer PTA Committee A few hours per month, helping plan & coordinate events, working with the school team, agreeing funding requests PTA Treasurer A few hours a month, managing banking & the bi-monthly accounts report.

  10. New ‘Fun Fundraising’ ideas for 2018? Ideas to discuss:  ‘Spring Clean’ Car Boot Fair: Clear all those unwanted items, without all the hassle of eBay postage, held on the field, or guaranteed in the dry using the sports complex.  Summer Concert: Involving the Music and Drama Departments, a fun event, drawing on the students skills and work already prepared for the many concerts and shows, that also could raise significant funds with a modest ticket fee & refreshments   Cycle Ride/Fun Run: Sporting Challenge, in conjunction with the Sports Department.
