  • requirements. A licence application cannot

be submitted until all requirements are

  • completed. Workflows are used to manage

the application process. Administration Portal NAA Administration staff can review licensing information, address customer queries, assist with applications and process payment. Organisation Portal Registered

  • rganisations can check and apply for a

licence on behalf of applicants who are members of the organisations. Licensing Portal NAA Licensing staff can completely manage applications using workflows configured for each licence type (e.g. PPL, CPL, ATPL, AME).

Collaborative Partnership E-Licensing

The partnership between CAAi and ASPEQ has been formed to combine the CAAi and UK CAA’s capability and technical competence with ASPEQ’s technology solutions for electronic licensing and electronic examinations. Both organisations are experienced in the development and management of licensing systems and can

  • ffer tailored services to meet the local

variations required by a National Aviation Authority (NAA). CAAi and ASPEQ work collaboratively to achieve our key objectives in e-licensing:

  • The development, setup and ongoing

support of an e-licensing system for NAA Licensing requirements.

  • To improve licensing standards by

modernising the licence application process and use of automated workflows, including rules engine, to control each stage of the approval process.

  • To improve the applicant experience by

making it easier to determine if they are ready to apply for their licence.

  • Enhanced security by allowing all

information to be stored electronically and tracking all access to the information.

  • To improve the stakeholder service and

user benefits that enhance the NAA’s reputation in the field of licensing and examinations.

  • Improved quality and integrity of licence

information thereby enabling NAAs to promote National pilot and aircraft maintenance licensing standards.

  • To provide enhanced oversight control of

licensing applications, especially through a high quality reporting function.

  • Revised business processes that

increase efficiency by placing the responsibility on the applicant to provide the correct licensing information before the application can be submitted for NAA processing and approval.

  • Structured automated workflows for all

licence types that ensure NAA application processes are controlled and complied with.

  • Auditing capability to ensure licence

applications fully comply with the regulatory requirements.

  • Performance monitoring of the

application process, with visual progress results presented on a licensing dashboard.

  • Secure electronic storage of all licensing

records to improve NAA access to information by approved staff.

  • Complete traceability of all electronic

records and their access by NAA staff.

  • Lower costs from more efficient licence

processing and the removal of paper file storage.

  • To implement a high quality, cost

effective, sustainable – and affordable – licensing solution.

CAAi and ASPEQ Ltd, through a collaborative partnership built on the strengths of the two organisations, provide world class services for electronic licensing, electronic examinations and other regulatory functions.
