  2. Study Goal Identify the most efficient, safest, and least disruptive truck route network within and through the Duluth- Superior area for the movement of goods and services via trucks, and support the inclusion of the identified network into local plans.

Truck Route Study Survey Summary • Purpose: • To seek input from those in the trucking industry or maintaining truck route roadways • In order to provide the most useful study recommendations possible • 11 Questions + location-specific comment options • Open February 21 – April 30 • 42 People Responded

  5. Summary of Survey Results • Majority have no problem with regulations or enforcement • No change to truck route signage needed • Majority see no need for changes to traffic signals • Two primary infrastructure-related issues: • Resurfacing needed • Turning lanes needed • 16 site-specific suggestions

  6. Final TRS Report Topics • Introduction and Overview • Current Conditions • Existing Positives • Concerns • Map of Existing & Proposed Truck Routes • Truck Counts • Accidents Involving Trucks • Recommendations • Summary of Survey Responses

  7. Final TRS Report Topics/Ideas • Identify road condition of truck routes • Traffic volume map of major route roads • Distinguish through-routes from local routes • Installing temporary truck use or truck route signs • List recommendations as individual “project - style” sheets
