Canyons School District’s Commitment to World Languages
CSD is committed to provide two viable pathways to world language acquisition: – Dual Language Immersion Pathway – Secondary Pathway-World language instruction beginning in middle school and continues through 12th grade In an effort to prepare all students for college and careers, we will offer opportunities for World Language instruction for all students with an expectation of high proficiency levels in that language.

Who Can Apply
- All students entering kindergarten
(Midvale) and first grade (all programs)
- Canyons School District students will be
given first priority and then programs will be opened to those outside of the district if space is available.
How to Apply
- Submit online application by end of November
22, 2017.
- Notification of selection by lottery made via
email on or before January 10, 2018.
- If selected, electronic placement acceptance is
due by February 3, 2018.

– 50 at Midvale’s two-way program
- Siblings of students already in immersion
program given priority, if application is submitted on time.
- Students with high levels of proficiency
(native-like speakers, readers, writers) in the target language given priority
