Disaster Sci cience ce and Management Program at LSU LSU Project Overview • For the first 8 yrs., DSM has had no home Dept. - interdisciplinary • Due to program instability, it was considered for elimination • Asked by Dean’s Office to take it over with approval from Robert Whalin • DSM now integrated into the Geog. Degree Program CRC 2nd Annual Meeting The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Feb. 1-3, 2017

Goals: • Continue Building Internship Program partnering with Emergency Mgmt. community • Continued Participation in the Summer Research Experience (SUMREX) Program with universities within consortium • Participation in the RETALK program – Spring lecture by Don Resio • Train Students to add to Homeland Security Enterprise Workforce CRC 2nd Annual Meeting The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Feb. 1-3, 2017
