  7. These are our 7 areas of ministry Feeding Administration Child Care Logistics (Mass Care) Spiritual Care ERT Recovery (Chaplaincy and Emergency Clean up, Mud Barnabus) Response Team Out, Chain Saw

  8. ADMINISTRATION Survivors Needs Records / Reports Volunteers processing Hours maintained Finances Orientation Badging Staff Tracking

  9. Spiritual Care A chaplain goes out with each ministry team to the affected homes to work. They share with the survivors by listening to them, sharing HOPE for the future and HEALING for the disaster that has affected their lives, by praying with them and sharing bibles

  10. TEMPORARY CHILD CARE

  11. Different Settings that the Child Care can Help • Tent Location (based outside near to the FEMA line) • Daytime Care • Overnight Care for the First Responders families

  12. ERT Securing our site, guarding our supplies, providing safety for our volunteers. Providing minor medical Support for our volunteers

  13. FEEDING / MASS CARE Feeding Unit 01 can serve up to 20,000 a day Feeding Unit 02 can serve up to 10,000 a day

  14. Our feeding ministry leaders are ServSafe trained and certified. Cooking in a borrowed kitchen of Commercial Quality

  15. Most often we are cooking for the Red Cross or Salvation Army and they deliver the food

  16. Clean Up and Recovery ASSESSING THE DAMAGE Tree / Chain Saw Teams Flood and Mud Out Teams Roof Temporary Repairs Ash Out Clean Up

  17. Not all trailers are set up alike. However they should all have the same basic equipment in them.

  18. FLOOD RECOVERY It can develop within 24 - 48 hours after water exposure.

  19. Temporary Roof Repair Can Be Required For Many Reasons: • Shingles blown off • Penetration from trees • Structural damage to roof Our Main Focus Is To Dry In The Roof

  20. Ash Out is another area we are able to assist.

  22. Some interesting facts about FBDR and disasters: -Did you know that FBDR is called to the table on disaster responses with the ESF 6 ? As Mass Care, along with ARC, State EOC Mass Care Coordinator has our Feeding Units in the response coordination with them. -Did you know that we have a FBDR volunteer that sits at the planning table with ARC, in Washington, with FEMA, on the food planning for disasters? -Did you know that the FBDR Clean Up and Recovery is in the ESF 15? -Did you know that Showers, Laundry, Child Care and others can support either ESF 6 or ESF 15?
