  4. What Should I Do First? • Complete Disaster Summary Outline (DSO) from the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) • Request TDEM Assessment • Prioritize immediate needs

  5. When Can I Start Work? • Request Pre-Approval • Allows eligible costs from disaster date • Not a guarantee for funding

  6. When Will I Receive Funds? • Awards announced with 2 weeks of TDA receiving completed documentation • Maximum of $350,000 • DR funds may be used to access FEMA funds (3:1 match)

  11. Funding Priorities 1. Applicants seeking access to FEMA funds 2. Applications requesting repair or replacement of infrastructure required to meet basic human needs – Category C – Road & Bridge (roads, bridges, culverts); – Category D – Water Control Facilities (dams, levees, dikes); and – Category F – Public Utility Systems (gas, electric, sewer, water).

  12. Funding Priorities Cont’d • Other projects to address basic human needs may be considered upon request. • Mitigation projects are generally not eligible for TxCDBG-DR funding.
