COVID-19: What is it?

What is COVID-19/Coronavirus?

  • Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that can cause

respiratory illness in people. Coronaviruses circulate among animals, including camels, cattle, cats, and bats.

  • Other human Coronaviruses include severe acute

respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS)

COVID-19: How Does it Spread?

  • Can someone spread the virus

without being sick?

  • People are thought to be most

contagious when they are most symptomatic (the sickest).

  • Assume some spread is possible

before people show symptoms;

slide-6
SLIDE 6

COVID-19: How Does it Spread?

Spread from contact with contaminated surfaces or objects

  • It may be possible that a person can

contract COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus

  • n it and then touching their own

mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads.

COVID-19: REGENESIS Office Safety

Limiting Office Personnel Onsite

  • Ongoing experiments and production that

can not be handled from home. Training

  • All personnel have had training on the

virus and procedures to stay safe. Ongoing Updates

  • Additional procedures and policies are

being put in place daily, due to ever- changing conditions and government mandates

SLIDE 9

COVID-19: Office Safety

  • Stay away from work if you are sick
  • If you can work from home, do so
  • Wash hands or use sanitizer frequently
  • Avoid touching your nose, mouth & eyes
  • Wash hands or use sanitizer after coughing, sneezing or blowing nose

COVID-19: REGENESIS Manufacturing Safety

Manufacturing personnel are being contacted on a daily basis to keep up with the policies and procedures. General guidelines have been posted to keep people aware

  • f the hazards and risks.

Postings on the front door to control visitors, deliveries, and shipments

COVID-19: REGENESIS Field Safety Work in Progress:

  • Expanded use of hand signals
  • Use of work benches outside of

the trailer

  • Keeping distance while doing the

morning tailgate

slide-12
SLIDE 12

COVID-19: REGENESIS Field Safety

General Field Safety Protocols:

  • Stay away from work if you are sick
  • When doing a tailgate meeting maintain 6 ft from personnel where possible.
  • No signatures are required on safety documentation for the time being, this

includes tailgate meetings and HASPs.

  • Try and assign duties to keep personnel separate on the project but still with in

hearing distance or eyesight.

  • Wear gloves at all times.
  • Strictly adhere to proper degloving procedures to prevent cross contamination
  • More detailed protocols will be discussed by Will Clogan

SLIDE 16

COVID-19: Traveler Safety

Traveler Safety

  • Always wear protective gear where there

is potential to contract the virus.

  • Try not to interact with the public as much

as possible and maintain 6’ distance

  • When fueling wear gloves when possible

How to Determine if a Project can be Completed Safely

  • What are the directives of the

state and local authorities?

  • Is the project located in a “hot

spot”?

  • Who and how many people

must employees come in contact with?

  • Can all personnel drive to the

site?

  • Is necessary PPE available?
slide-30
SLIDE 30

How to Determine if a Project Can be Completed Safely

  • Is sufficient housing in the

area available?

  • Are field crews capable of

sufficient nutrition?

  • What means are available to wash

hands frequently?

  • Does anyone proposed to be
  • n-site have a fever or feel ill?
  • Has anyone scheduled to be
  • n-site knowingly come in

contact with COVID-19?
