Basic lines of activities of the RIBSP



Basic engineering of viruses, bacteria and fungi, cellular biotechnology, virology aimed at achieving new scientific knowledge for the development of therapeutic and diagnostic preparations;



Development of biosafety, anti-epidemic and anti-epizootic measure schemes and action plans in cases of biological terrorism with the use of especially dangerous infectious diseases;



Development and enhancement of technologies for manufacturing prophylactic, diagnostic and therapeutic preparations against infectious diseases of human, animals, birds and plants;

• At the base of the RIBSP are conducted trainings

for research personnel, engineering-technical service and biosafety specialists

• Research personnel and biosafety specialists have

• Joining the RIBSP into the World Federation for Culture

Collections (WFCC);

• Entry the RIBSP into the International Consortium for

Supervision of Avian Influenza Spread;

• Cooperation with WHO and Center for Disease Control

(CDC);

• Joint projects with the International Scientific-Technical

Center (ISTC) and Civil Research and Development Fond (CRDF);

• On the territory of the RIBSP is commissioned BSL-3 with

funding from the Agency for Biological Threat Reduction within the framework of joint researches between USA and RK.

technology transfer to enhance influenza vaccine production in developing countries

• Valencia (Spain) – Fourth International conference on vaccines and vaccination
• Deli (India) – 15-th annual general meeting of vaccine manufacturers from

developing countries, with financial support of WHO
