Europe is facing unprecedented demographic changes

CENTRAL EUROPE PROGRAMME & DEMOGRAPHIC CHANGE
Demographic change
Addressed by transnational cooperation projects funded within the
CENTRAL EUROPE Programme
More than 10% of 101 running projects linked to demographic change
- Appr. € 20 Million ERDF allocated to approved projects addressing
problems related to demographic change
Key focus of approved projects on demographic change: Minimising negative effects of demographic change on society by developing innovative tools that improve the inclusion of the elderly and other disadvantaged groups Making shrinking regions more attractive by accommodating needs of the local population and adapting infrastructure accordingly – thus increasing social inclusion and avoiding brain-drain
