Lessons Learned Ensuring the OPAs have self-generated  regular income is critical to promote local empowerment, ownership, and the sustainability of the OPAs Comprehensive support for older  people is important to ensure long lasting healthy and active ageing. Empowering older people and their  associations to care for themselves is effective in promoting inclusive and sustainable healthy ageing and development The OPA approach is very cost effective  (require only 10,000 USD / group to set up and support them to be sustainable).
