Google looks at your "geographic influence" when ranking your content.
To add a "business" page to your existing Google+ account, select "Pages" under the "Home" menu.
Click the "Create New Page" button. Pick the category of your (business) page. In most instances, this will be "Local Business or Place".
Provide an address or location name. Select your business address or create a new entry by providing details of your business. Be sure to add a category and click "OK".
Be sure to verify you are the business owner by clicking the blue "Edit business information" button.
Click the "Verify now" button, confirm your address and then click "Send postcard".
