TBM and move it back to Watson Island to be reassembled and begin boring the second tunnel.

  • riginal concept on Dodge Island

from two portals to a single split

  • portal. They also revised the
  • perations to mine the second

tunnel from Dodge Island to Watson Island by use of a turntable in the receiving pit on Dodge Island.

TBM Turnaround Table

TBM is in the process of being disassembled, turned and reassembled to begin the Westbound Tunnel Mining in October. A Custom Teflon turn table was used to turn the TBM. This method minimizes logistical risks and preserves project schedule.
