Crown Dykman History • Operated as a commercial laundry from the early 1930’s through 1983. • Operated as a dry cleaner from 1975 to 1983. • Listed as Inactive Hazardous Waste Site – 1992 Listed as Inactive Hazardous Waste Site 1992 • Primary contaminant tetrachloroethene (PCE) NYS Department of Environmental Conservation

Feasibility Study Alternatives • Five alternatives were evaluated – No Action (base line for comparison) – Zero-Valent Iron Permeable Reactive Barrier – In-Situ Chemical Oxidant Injection – Source Area In-Situ Chemical Oxidant Injection and Source Area In-Situ Chemical Oxidant Injection and Natural Attenuation • Each alternative includes a system to address the LNAPL in the groundwater and continues the operation of the SVE/SSD system, and placement of Environmental and Institutional Controls.
