at The Shipyard/Værftet/Die Werft in Korsør
Boatbuilding – Sailing
The CPL Workshop in The Shipyard in Korsør 2018 is a three weeks event and includes mostly boatbuilding, but also some sailing. The main activity will be building on the gunboat (The barge type called "kanonjolle"), a big job planned to be finished in a year form now. In other words, in this activity you will be part of a long process and contribute to a very large and a very visible result. In addition to that, the workshop could include building equipment for the gunboat and working on
- ther boats. And there will of course also be chances of sailing in the LearningLab's own vessels
Whimbrel or Pandora. There will be visits to other shipyards, there will be a trip to Copenhagen, arrangements with Danish families etc.

2 Planned production and competences The main boatbuilding activity will be working on the gunboat - deck planks, masts and spars. There will also be activities maintaining and preparing vessels from our existing fleet - it could be painting jobs on Whimbrel. A couple of the planned working days, when the weather is just right for it, there will be some sailing on the Great Belt, and you will have a chance of standing to helm. And you will probably try to work with life rafts as well. Overall, you will gain competences from working with wood, boatbuilding and sailing competences.

3 Accommodation and meals During the workshop you will stay at the youth hostel "Svanegården" (http://www.korsorvandrerhjem.dk/) The price for a double room is DKK 500 per night (+ DKK 65 for linen if needed). A single room is DKK 390 and a triple room is DKK 600. It is possible to make meals in a small kitchen, but most of the meals you will be able to prepare and eat at the Shipyard (see the time schedule in the bottom of this description)

4 Buddies During the workshop a bunch of buddies will be attached to your group. They are students at Korsør ProduktionsHøjskole, and most of them will be students at The Shipyard. They will be able to help you, both during working hours and the time off work. And they will participate in most of the after hours activities. After hours/weekend arrangements I addition to the working, there will be arrangements in some of the evenings and weekend days, but the will also be some time to relax. A look at the schedule will give you an idea. Visiting student economy Regarding accommodation, Svanegården will invoice Korsør ProduktionsHøjskole, and the amount will be re-invoiced to the student's institution. Regarding the meals, breakfast and lunch on workdays will be prepared and paid for by Korsør ProduktionsHøjskole. Dinner in the evening + breakfast and lunch in weekends should be prepared by and paid for by the students themselves. Round DKK 100 a day per person (maybe a little more in the weekends) should be sufficient for that. We expect them to do it as a group, it is cheaper that way. Rules We expect all participants to be able to act responsible as adults and blend in the LearningLab culture here. We do not fight, we do not shout much at each other, we are trying having a good time. Together. We don't take alcohol (or any soft-drinks) or any other drugs during work-hours. Coffee, tea and water is ok (water sometimes almost mandatory). And illegal drugs are of course illegal. Mobile phones are legal, if they do not interfere with workshop activities (i.e. primarily during breaks) We follow the safety- and other rules in the workshop and on board the ships carefully.

5 There is no smoking at all during work-hours (in the
time schedule, the black texted areas are considered work-hours, the purple areas are not – the green texted arrangements are including both and will be specified on the spot).
We try to have fun making the world an enjoyable place. If you do not act within these limits, you cannot take part in the workshop.
