Mission Statement The international community assists the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in a common effort to reform the Afghan National Police, in accordance with the vision and priorities of the Afghan Ministry of Interior, into a credible, respected, professional, increasingly government-funded police service that is committed to the rule of law, is supportive of the government of Afghanistan and its people, and acts consistently in accordance with established principles of international law and national regulations.

IPCB – Secretariat • Secretariat is the technical support body for the IPCB • Facilitates communication and coordination among all the international and national actors in the area of policing in Afghanistan • Ultimately, one purpose of the IPCB, through the IPCB-S and its related activities, is to build the capacity of the MoI to internally manage international donor assistance

IPCB – Secretariat • Permanent body of civilian & police personnel • Receives direction from the IPCB and its chairman MININT • Provides recommendations for the coordination of international efforts • Provides specialist input to key MoI / ANP development • Facilitates meetings and working groups
