Super strong aramid inner core-aramid is one of the toughest composite materials known to man, used to create bullet proof vests and fjre retardant gloves.Britannia has used aramid to construct the inner core of the MFCF 10 extjnguisher, not only creatjng incredible strength and durability, but also preventjng any form of corrosion. One in 500 units manufactured is tested to destructjon by pressurising the unit 12,000 tjmes to 25 bar before crushing fmat with a mangle. Afuer this cycle the extjnguisher is burst to destructjon at over 80 bar.

The MFCF 10 extjnguisher is approved under EN3 with additjonal testjng to the composite gas cylinder regulatjons. Under these gas cylinder regulatjons a 12,000 cycle test on one in 500 is

required. All MFCF 10 ’s are tested to 25 bar in productjon. In the EN3 burst test all extjnguishers

have to pass a minimum 55 bar pressure testjng, however MFCF 10 extjnguishers have a burst pressure consistently reaching in excess of 80 bar.MFCF10 fjre extjnguishers incorporate two patented elements – the loose weave and the locking neck ring. This innovatjve design provides ultjmate protectjon with the added features of being lightweight and extremely durable.

3 Step Annual Check

A simple in-house inspectjon is all that is needed – massively reducing your maintenance expenditure. There are two gauges, one to calibrate against the other giving a simple quarterly visual check on the working

pressure. Annually the forward facing gauge can be checked for
peratjonal accuracy using a magnet to zero (on removal of the

magnet the gauge will return to show the operatjonal pressure). Inspectjon is just 3 easy steps – a visual inspectjon to check for damage, a check of the pressure gauges, and a check of the manufacturing date – it’s as easy as ABC

Step 3 - Check the pressure gauges Visually check that the gauge needles in both pressure gauges are in the green. Hold a magnet underneath the front gauge (located directly under the safety pin) and move it from side to side so that the needle follows it. Release the magnet and ensure that the needle returns to the green area of the pressure gauge. Step 1 - Annual visual inspectjon Visually inspect the extjnguisher, checking for any signs

tampering or damage and ensure that the tamper seal is stjll in

place. Using a clean cloth remove

any dust and dirt that may have built up on the extjnguisher's body. Step 2 - Check the manufacturing date of the extjnguisher, this is either indicated by the coloured plug in the side of the nozzle holder or printed on the extjnguisher. ASKA MFCF 10 extjnguishers can be visually inspected easily by any person following the manufacturer's simple visual inspectjon instructjons. The annual visual check is then simply recorded on the back of the extjnguisher (using a permanent marker) and in the company's fjre log book.
