INDIAN PRODCTION EXPLANATION OF ALL VARITIES OF WHITE CHICKPEAS  Indian white chickpeas production not only limited to Kabuli Variety, Pls understand from below descriptions of other varieties grown in other states as well.  White chickpeas grown in 3 states of India, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra & Andhra Pradesh. Sowing in month of Oct/Nov/Dec and harvesting done in Feb/March/April/FH May  Madhya Pradesh well known variety grown is Kabuli chickpeas, which is one of biggest crop of white chickpeas of Pan India & rest 10% spaniola type as well grown in state, named as cok2, b2, lalitpur bitki. Yearly average production range of Kabuli chickpeas 400-500 K MT & other varieties 50-75 K MT. 30-40% Crop of this state goes for export shipments. To be continued… 2019

 In Maharashtra 30% Kabuli chickpeas variety sown and rest 70% spaniola type, named mostly cok 2, virat, Pkv2 etc. , Yearly avg. size of Maharashtra crop is 75-100 K MT. 90% production of this state supplied in Domestic Market.  Andhra Pradesh here only spaniola type variety grown, known as :- cok 2 , yearly average crop size is 100 -150 K MT. 90% production of this state supplied in Domestic Market. INDIA MAIN HIGHLIGHTS • Production & Supply :-  As per above data, 2019 production decreased in Pan India, but with carry-in of 2018 crop, Total supply in 2019 is less by 14% only.  Kabuli chickpeas sizes harvested normal in 2019, 50% bigger (38-46 AO) and 50% medium & smaller (46-80 AO)  In 2019 import done in India under the scheme of “Export against Import” ,Total quantity import till 2019 June, 60K MT approx. , 20K MT used as whole consumption , rest 40K used as alternate of Desi Chickpeas. INDIA MAIN HIGHLIGHTS Demand & Consumption :-  In bigger calibers, Buyers preferring Mexico compared to India as same prices and non weevils product.  In smaller calibers, Argentina, Turkey, Canada, Black Sea is the cheapest option for destination markets.  Global cash crunch and falling market, result in slow demands To be continued… 2019

INDIA MAIN HIGHLIGHTS Demand & Consumption :-  Major destination market Turkey, not withdrawn import duty of 21% this year as they have their own big production, Turkish Lira depreciation 40% as well played a big role.  Algeria unstable political conditions as well remain a concern.  Pakistan P&Q Department not issuing permits for Indian cps.  Pan India Domestic consumption will increase by 13% approx in 2019, as on support of high Desi Chickpeas & Yellow Peas prices compared to last year. INDIA MAIN HIGHLIGHTS Demand & Consumption :-  Exports of Feb/March/April 2019 is only 35,000 MT compared to same period of last year is 55,000 MT. Since 2012, this year export is lowest in this particular period. 2019

TURNING POINT OF MARKET For time being demand & Supply of white chickpeas seems in equilibrium position globally. Now we need to keep watch on turning points of the market and the factors will be :-  USA / Canada harvest (seeding intention already less)  Argentina harvest (seeding intention already less) To be continued… 2019

 Turkey harvest (seeding intention is 20% more than 2018, becoz of govt. Minimum support prices 3.300 TL/MT i.e. 560 USD PMT ).  Russia harvest (seeding intention is already less).  India and Mexico seeding intentions for 2020 and carry-in from 2019 crop. 2019
