What is the role of a Local Pharmaceutical Committee (LPC)

  • develops, negotiates, discusses pharmacy services and engages with

health bodies

  • supports community pharmacy contractors to ensure that all aspects of

contractual requirements are fully understood and implemented

  • builds local relationships with commissioners to ensure appropriate

consultation before changing existing arrangements or commissioning new services, including

  • Health and Well Being Boards, CCG’s, Local Authorities
