Community Air Protection Funds

Overview

  • $495 million so far – additional $200 million proposed
  • Air districts implement in consultation with communities
  • Reduce toxics, smog-forming pollutants and greenhouse

gases

  • Replace dirty engines with cleaner or zero emission technologies
  • Stationary Sources (i.e. chrome plating)

Guiding Principles for Allocations

  • April 25-26 - present proposed Guidelines to Board
  • Continued guidance from communities is critical
  • Direction on creation of additional stationary source categories
  • New incentive options for community emissions reduction programs
  • Allow flexibility to meet community needs as they are identified
