R&D spending exceeded £1.3 billion .
- The Company patents more than 100 new inventions every

CURRENT FLEET CURRENT FLEET
Air Astana currently operates a mixed fleet of 25 leased aircraft composed of B767-300ERs (2), B757-200s (4), A320 Family aircraft (10), E190 (3) and Fokker 50s (6). Average age of jet fleet is 8 years. In 2008, the Company placed an order for combination of two A321 and four A320 aircraft which are scheduled to deliver between November 2012 and November 2013.

In 2011, the Company placed an order for two E190 aircraft with delivery dates in May and June 2012. In 2007, the Company signed LOI for purchase of three Boeing 787.

In May 2011, for the third time Air Astana successfully completed the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) with zero findings (over 900 standards). IOSA is the benchmark for global safety management in airlines The only airline in Kazakhstan certified to perform aircraft maintenance according to EASA Part 145 standard Line maintenance is undertaken by the Company. Heavy checks and repairs are carried out at EASA approved maintenance facilities In 2010, Air Astana started developing own Workshop Facility. Workshops obtained EASA approval. Starting accomplishment of C-checks of Airbus by the end of 2011 and Embraer fleet by the end of 2012
