The Story of Evans High School Orlando, FL
When you’ve seen one community school, you’ve really only seen one community school.
Evans was once considered a “drop out factory” earning multiple “F” school grades. Graduation was 50%. The following are a few of the Evans outcomes measures achieved since 2010 when Evans began its work being established as a community school:
Evans has consistently been rated a C or B school since 2010-2011
Graduation rates moved from 64% in 2010-2011 to 78% in 2013-2014
School disciplinary incidents have dropped more than half from 1450 during the 2012-2013 school year to 690 during the 2014-2105 school year.
