What is Clubmark?
Clubmark is the universally acknowledged cross sport accreditation scheme for community sports Clubs
- Higher standards of welfare, equity,
coaching and management in community sports Clubs
- Making sure the nation’s sports Club
infrastructure is safer, stronger and more successful
- An accredited Club is recognised as a safe,
rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages as well as helping parents and carers know what that they’re choosing the right Club for their young people
How does Clubmark apply to me?
- If you have achieved your Sport Specific accreditation scheme you will automatically gain
Clubmark status
- On completion of your Sport Specific scheme, your NGB will provide Sport England with
your details. This will enable you to be awarded with a Clubmark certificate and be generated a Clubmark ID number. It will also make you eligible to take part in Sainsbury’s Active Kids scheme
- You will gain access to all the tools, templates and downloadable documents from the
Club Matters website to help you continue your Club development
What support is available from Club Matters?
Online support including online toolkits, quick reference guides and e- learning modules. Club Matters workshops are free, short training sessions delivered across the country by experts in a range of specific areas. Club Improvement Plan helps clubs of all sizes and at all stages of their development to establish where they are performing well and where they can develop.

How do I register to the Club Matters website?
To gain the full access to the Club Matters resources, templates and downloadable documents, you will need to create an account on the Club Matters website and attach yourself to your club.
- 1. Visit http://www.sportenglandclubmatters.com/, click on “You are
not logged in (Log in)”. Then selected “Create a new account”.
- 2. Once you have entered
your personal details, you will be asked to attach yourself to a Club. To find out if your Club has already been registered, start typing your Club name in the “Club” box, a drop down selection will
- appear. If your Club has not
appeared this means you will need to register your Club.
Where do I find my Clubmark number?
To find your Clubmark ID, you will need to be logged into your Club Matters account.
- 1. Scroll your mouse over “My Club” where a
drop down box will appear, select “Edit Club”.

- 2. You will find your Clubmark ID number half way down
the page underneath the accreditation validation dates.
What is Sainsbury’s Active Kids?
- One of the many benefits of being Clubmark accredited is the opportunity to take part in
the Sainsbury’s Active Kids scheme which allows sports clubs to use vouchers for a range
- f sports kit and equipment
- You can collect Active Kids vouchers from all main Sainsbury's stores, Local stores, petrol
stations and with online grocery deliveries from 25th January 2017 until 2nd May 2017
- Once you've collected all your vouchers, you can then spend them on the Active Kids

- To sign up for Sainsbury’s Active Kids, visit their website and enter your unique Clubmark
ID number
