Data Center Consolidation High Level of Standards New services & type of business

history of evolution – what motivated customers?

Step forward

slide-16
SLIDE 16

Automate everything!

This is how server in cloud looks like!

slide-17
SLIDE 17

Pets&Cattle Service Model

Services and supportability model is different Hyperscale is different. Either you automate or you lose.

slide-18
SLIDE 18

Building SaaS service is a different challange!

Failure in cloud is new normal. Failure is expected and we need to prepare

  • urselves for that.
slide-19
SLIDE 19

What we have learned?

AUTOMATION & INFRASTRUCTUR E AS CODE

Cost Management and FinOps Strategy Re- Architecture “OPERATION S” LANDING ZONE and ADOPTION PLAN

slide-20
SLIDE 20

But the second wave of adoption is different

slide-21
SLIDE 21

What is shaping the future right now?

# of devices Data are growing, we are still week in analysing them Complexity of software is growing Demand for software is growing and will not stop “Languages” and architectures are evolving Services and products are more advanced Low level code apps are gaining traction

slide-22
SLIDE 22

Why business should be interested?

Speed, more investments in development than support Automation of infrastructure to limit required people and resources, outsource problems IoT/OT Solutions, Big Data Solutions, Machine Learning / AI Solutions Startups and services cooperation (SaaS Marketplace) IT Costs Structure change and possible reduction Cloud Native and re- architecture for Legacy Systems

It happens that cloud is enabling us to build totally new concepts and solutions!

history of evolution – Business Transformation

slide-25
SLIDE 25

Remember that? In 2020 the goal of Cloud offering is redefined!

slide-26
SLIDE 26

DC Consolidation. Yes, but not as the first goal. Not so attractive. Digital transformation or rather business change & flexibility.

Architectural change in IT area, R&D projects, new types of solution

What is the motivation right now?

Culture shift – from IT&Operations to Products and Innovation

slide-27
SLIDE 27

But this is just the day one!

slide-28
SLIDE 28

Future of Cloud Development

Breath of services, but speed may be a bit slower Depth of services, bringing more maturity,

  • perations, security with quality and according to

local restrictions Hybrid and edge approach with vertical solutions coming. Serverless and Managed. Cloud Vendors == Security Vendors

How to start with Cloud in your own Company?

slide-30
SLIDE 30

How to start this complex journey?

Phase I

First Step - Strategy

1.1 Business and Technology – motivation to start cloud project. 1.2 Company architecture analysis 1.3 Business Case and KPI’s

Phase II

Second step – Tactics & Organization

2.1 Org. Structure 2.2 Cloud Standards and migration strategy 2.3 Operational Process

slide-34
SLIDE 34

Before we are done…

  • Cloud is a very broad and mature offering today
  • It’s not a magic pill – not every solution should work in the cloud. On the other hand

– loads of projects are delivered in the cloud and from the cloud. It’s a matter of architecture.

  • It’s a technology and business driven, cultural shift – not only IT project anymore. It’s

a journey, can be long one! Need the whole company onboard to make it a success.

  • This concept will evolve and will change, will impact on-premises solution in the long

run and the hardware market definitely!
