⦿ For students wanting to pursue a career in visual arts ⦿ Create original artwork in realistic, abstract, and nonobjective styles ⦿ This course is a prerequisite for higher level art courses in high school. It is also offered in high school. ⦿ If you take and pass the course in 8th grade, you will not receive a fine arts credit on your high school

  • transcript. Therefore, you still have to meet the Fine

Arts credit requirement in high school. This advanced course is meant for students who want to take the class early in 8th grade so they can take more upper level art classes once they get to high school. ⦿ Various projects, Midterm Exam, Final Exam, and 5 paragraph essay required.
