Chabot College u.B.S.U Rise of the United Black Student Union.

Chabot UBSU’s objective is to bond and grow as a community with respectful discussions, debates, and fun group bonding activities to ultimately inspire and encourage our members to be a good classmate,friend, person,community member/ etc. If we support and uplift each student individually, we will be unstoppable collectively. “The nation is only as strong as the collective strength of its individuals” - Jeremiah Denton

Building a community the old fashioned way ● Chabot U.B.S.U will meet in building 700 every Tuesday from 12-1. ● Our meetings will be utilized as a way to gage the mindset and overall state of Chabot’s Black student community. ● We will hold open group discussions and 10 minute debates on pop culture, student life, the state of black america, etc. ● Member friendly/run because they will have a chance to pick whatever we discuss and give feedback through suggestion and topic boxes.

Student services/ Support Students have academic support from the current Umoja, but, can lack applicable life skills. ● U.B.S.U. Offers: ■ Healing Circles ■ Interview etiquette training ■ Study sessions ■ Honors students ceremony (3.5 gpa minimum) ■ Peer mediation ■ Open discussion

Community Outreach Chabot’s U.B.S.U, recognizes that it is important to acknowledge your past,and use it as a tool to create your future. ● We Will Host: ○ Food and Toy Drives ○ Highschool Recruitment ○ Student Political Involvement (Hayward City Hall Meetings)
