How to Apply: FAFSA and Dream Act Application: Tips

  • Create an FSA ID before starting your FAFSA
  • File early, both applications open in October of each year
  • When completing the Dream Act application save it as you go through the

application

  • Male applicants between 18 and 25 must register for Selective Service,

including U.S. Citizens and eligible noncitizens. You can register through your FAFSA or California Dream Act application.

  • Remember that the information being entered is sensitive information and

please ensure that you have logged out when done

  • Review your Student Aid report for any possible errors
