SLIDE 2 The idea of my bench project is inspired by Pair of Clappers in Form of Human Hands from the Brooklyn Museum, which is two hand clappers made from Wood, Bone, and Ivory. Ancient Egyptians were usually using this kind of hand form clappers in all activities featuring music or singing, such as banquets, funerary processions, and rituals.

Clutch is a bench project that in form of hands, it would increase visitors’ interest to the Egyption culture history when they sit on it, also it can make them feel like staying together with others, especially when people sitting on it with their whole family members, the meaning of reunion would be more obvious. Another feature of this project is that people can connect two of them to correspond their number.
