established as an Association in St. Maarten,

perating under Netherlands Antilles Law.

l OCIX N.V. is the company of which the Association

is a 100% owner that acts as the operator and administrator of the exchange.

l Membership is free of charge

Launching of the OCIX with a workshop

In July 2009, the Internet eXchange (IX) OCIX was launched with a workshop on IPv6 and IXP where all the major ISPs and some public and private sector companies on St. Maarten were invited.

The workshops were provided by Bill Woodcock of Packet Clearing House (PCH), Joao Damas of ISC and Roque Gagliano of LACNIC
