Vertical panels
The vertical panels are coated with galvanized steel sheet, with outer surface covered by the plastified coating film suitable to come in contact with food. The thickness of the sheet is mm. 0.5. This thickness ensures high robustness to the panels.(see technical data). The lower part (only for cells with prefabricated floor) and the upper part of the panels, are provided with a retractable joint. An eccentric clamping hook ensures the connection with the other vertical panels and the roof.

Roof panel
The roof panels are coated with galvanized steel sheet, with outer surface covered by the plasfified coating film suitable to come in contact with food. The thickness of the metal sheet is mm. 0.5. On the outer peripheral side, the
SLIDE 15

roof panels are provided with PVC joint for the connection with the vertical panels. Strength of the Tech-nica series coldrooms are rounded corners and new generation joints. The perimeters of the floor and roof are rounded internally thanks to joints and profiles (radius 25 mm) with "click” installation system for a simple and easy application. These profiles preserve the hygiene of the coldroom following the recent sanitary standards.
Joint (vertical panel and roof)
Floor panels
The floor panels on the side subjected to foot traffic are covered with galvanized steel sheet, thickness mm. 0.6, coated with plaftified antislip film (gray color), suitable to come in contact with food. The side of the panel in contact with the ground are coated with galvanized steel sheet covered with a plastic film. As for the roof panels the perimeter of the floor is rounded internally thanks to joints and profiles (radius 25 mm) with a „click“ installation system for a simple and rapid use.
SLIDE 16
16
Prefabbricate floor
The floors are internally reinforced with MDF 80 mm. and is able to bear:
- A static load of 3000 kg/m2;
- Transit of carts with rubber wheels (200kg max per wheel).
The floor panels' outer peripheral sides are provided with a PVC joint groove for the connection with the vertical panels.
Cold rooms without floor
In cold without prefabricated floor (on request), the vertical panels are fixed to the ground by means of PVC profiles which provides a solid anchorage to the ground and follows the sanitary standards.
SLIDE 17
17
Corner panels
The corner panels are monobloc, with a 90 ° corner which is rounded in the outer part. They have the same characteristics as the vertical panels.
Insulation
The panels' thermo-insulating ability is obtained by using rigid polyurethane foam. The rigid polyurethane foam is the result of a chemical reaction between two components: polyol and isocyanate. It has the following key properties:
- excellent thermal-insulation determined by the best thermal conductivity;
- low specific weight;
- high mechanical characteristics;
- dimensional stability at low and high temperature;
- resistance to the most common chemicals;
- resistance to attacks by biological agents and does not enable the
growth of mold or fungus;
- excellent processability, which allows a stable combination with the
coating materials;
- reaction to fire in accordance with the standards. The polyurethane is
SLIDE 18
18
not flammable, but, like all plastic materials of organic nature, it is combustible and burns on contact with the flame;
- compatibility with man and the environment.
Joint-system
The joint-system of the panels with a dry male / female joint and the galvanized steel eccentric hooks allow an excellent thermal stability and easy assembly and disassembly.
eccentric hook
The eccentric hook is made of steel. The hook's galvanized metal sheet has been provided with a special treatment for a better adhesion of the foam. The locking point has an interaxis distance between the wings of 63.5 mm. This ensures a deep grip in the panel. In addition, the depth of 120.6 mm allows deep insertion into the panel and provides a high clamping force. The holes on the wings allow the maximum insertion of foam and a better
- tightness. A special device keeps the hook retracted until it is activated with a
hexagonal wrench.
Modularity
The main feature of the modular panels with standard dimensions, is to allow the adaptation of the coldrooms to any available space. The assembly of the panels is made by placing the panels and by activating the hooks using an hexagonal wrench. This wrench has to be inserted into
SLIDE 19
19
the holes on the inner surface of the panels. The created traction ensures no heat losses of the joint between the panels and allows the coldroom to have a high solidity.

The thickness of the sheet is mm. 0.5. According to the size of the coldroom and to the thicknesses of the panels, for structural reasons and security, where necessary, the ceiling must be supported by special hangers or other metal structures to be anchored to the ceiling or other support points existing in the local in which it will be installed. The support structures which will be anchored to the cell must be able to withstand a load of 40 kg/m2, due to the weight of the panels and the coldroom's inner depressions.

Plasticized sheet metal
Galvanized sheet steel with a thickness of mm. 0.5, coated on the outside with a plastic film in rigid polyvinyl chloride.
Prepainted sheet metal
Our panels are coated with prepainted galvanized sheet steel (color " white 97 ") with the following features: FIRING The fired film withstands at least 50 scratches with wool soaked in methyl- ethyl-ketone. HARDNESS The hardness of the film corresponds to grade "F" on the KOHINOOR scale. BRIGHTNESS The specular gas measured with Gardener gasometer and an angle of 60 ° (ASTM D 5239 is of 40 + / - 5%)

BONDING STRENGTH There is no detachment of painting by applying an adhesive tape Tesa 104
- n a sample bent around a mandrel equal to 3 times the thickness of the
sample itself. RESISTANCE TO SALT SPRAY The test was performed with a solution of 5% NaCl and with the procedure described in ASTL B 117 (Standard ECCA T8). Results:
- After 600 hours there was no blistering or penetration along
engravings,
- Tesa adhesive tape No. 104
4 hours after extraction from the test chamber there were no detachment. RESISTANCE TO HUMIDITY Test data: (according to the ASTM D 2247)
- 100% relative humidity
- Temperature 38 °
C results:
- According to the standard No. 8 of the ASTM D 714, after 1500 hours - only
a slight softening. RESISTANCE TO AGEING Using the wetherometro Atlas mod. XWWR after a 60 minutes cycle of dark and spraying of deionised water with standard filters and controlled humidity we got the following results:
- After 1000 hours - any cracking or peeling of the film
The rates of non-toxicity of the metal were carried out at the Polytechnic Research Centre "Istituto Giordano SpA" in Bellaria (RN). The test of non-toxicity was performed according to the rules dictated by the DM 21-March-1973, adopting the following conditions:
- Simulating liquid = distilled water
SLIDE 32

- Simulating liquid = 15% ethanol in distilled water
- Simulating liquid = sunflower oil
Total duration: 10 days at 40 ° C. Regulatory requirements prepainted sheet The pre-painted sheet metal used was produced with raw materials that fall in the positive list provided by the Ministerial Decree No. 220 of April 1993, updating the DM 21/03/1973 "Discipline hygiene of packaging, containers and utensils intended to come into contact with food."
