2002 UVAF purchases 100 Emmet Street (Chevron Station) on NE Corner of University-Emmet-Ivy 2002 Planning/design for Ivy-Emmet garage, the Dell and JPJ begins. Long range plan calls for residence halls to be built along Ivy Road and Emmet Street in front of garage 2003 Planning/Design for a Performing Arts Center on either side of Emmet Street, east of McCue Center to serve as “gateway to UVA” along with the JPJ Arena and multi-modal

How should we define the character of our entry corridors? Should each corridor be treated similarly or differently based on the opportunities/constraints of each? What type of uses should we have along the corridors; e.g., welcome center, student housing, hotel/inn, etc.? Should each entry point share a special landscape palette?
