2002 UVAF purchases 100 Emmet Street (Chevron Station) on NE Corner of University-Emmet-Ivy 2002 Planning/design for Ivy-Emmet garage, the Dell and JPJ begins. Long range plan calls for residence halls to be built along Ivy Road and Emmet Street in front of garage 2003 Planning/Design for a Performing Arts Center on either side of Emmet Street, east of McCue Center to serve as “gateway to UVA” along with the JPJ Arena and multi-modal
- center. Center was also to house UVA Marching Band
2004-10 UVAF purchases Dynamics Building, University Forum Apartments, and adjacent commercial buildings on Ivy Road 2004 Carr’s Hill Field designated as the outdoor practice area for the UVA Marching Band 2004 Arts Grounds to North Grounds planning study identifies Cavalier Inn site as preferred location for Performing Arts Center 2006 Gateway to the Arts Design Competition for Cavalier Inn Site.
