Our Start Small Dream Big Initiative Project CARE • Care for Safety • Care for the Differently Abled • Care for the Elderly
Our Start Small Dream Big Initiative Project CARE is the first year curriculum of the Red Cross Junior Programme. It has a holistic curriculum that allows preschoolers to learn how to care for the elderly, the differently-abled and also themselves through interactive and engaging activities.
Our Start Small Dream Big Initiative Target Group
Starter Kit SSDB Participating Centres will get the following: • 1x First Aid Game set • 2x Educator’s Guide + Storybook • 1x FA Resource Kit • 1x Graduation Lanyard
Starter Kit* First Aid Activity Resource Pack Educator’s Guide Graduation Lanyard Storybook This picture depicts the full set of starter kit for First Aid Kit Red Cross Junior Programme. The full set is only provided for Red Cross Junior Clubs
Our Project CARE Activities Care for Safety Care for the Differently Abled Care for the Elderly
What do the children have to complete? Preschoolers are required to complete the following: - 1 activity on CARE for the Safety - 1 activity on Care for Elderly OR Care for the Differently Abled - By 1st Aug 2020
What do the school submits? - 5x photographs (per activity) of students in activities with captions - 1x “I will Care for ……… by” reflection through - show & tell (video/sound bites) - short reflection piece - song and dance (video) (teachers can decide on this!)
What do children get after the project? Each child will receive a Graduation Lanyard (with card sleeve) and also a certificate of completion
