Executive Summary

The problem: Hillary Clinton, although she is one

  • f the most prominent political figures of my life

time she comes off as untrustworthy and deceitful. She is having difficult connecting to young voters which has been a consistent backbone for any winning democratic campaign. Goal: Our goal as an addition to her campaign strategy team is to not only increase her support with voters 18-35 by 45% before the Democratic National Convention. Target Audience: Our primary audience is going to be young voters, 18-35. In addition we hope to secure our secondary audience which is minority groups predominantly women and African Americans. Audience Objectives: We expect that our primary audience will be apprehensive to our client due to their overwhelming support of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. There is also a lot of distrust of perceived political insiders which is a portion of Clinton’s image which will affect our secondary audiences who believe their interests are not being looked out for. Major Strategy: We recommend creating our own media buzz with the production of fundraiser. The event will allow college aged students to meet with the Clinton family. There will also be an

  • pportunity for international interaction via
  • Twitter. Since young people are the most frequent

users of this social media platform we felt this would allow us to connect to them more effectively.

slide-6
SLIDE 6

Situation Analysis

Background:After an unsuccessful 2008 run Hilary Clinton is priming up for yet another general election. She has two major issues the first is that her history as a political insider has led for her to fall under scrutiny. The second is that due to her time in the political system she appears to be detached from the youth whose vote is crucial to securing the vote. Affect: This problem affects my client because this is one of the most crucial elections of our life time and it is necessary that Hilary Clinton be elected president of the United States. If Clinton can not secure the necessary demographics and increase the polling percentage difference between Clinton and Trump, Clinton will definitely lose. which makes him a threat to Clinton.

slide-7
SLIDE 7

Situation Analysis

Strengths – Clinton is good at securing majority of the women and minority demographics. Clinton can always drawl on the successfulness of the Obama administration, and the previous Clinton

  • administration. Audiences see that Clinton

is empathetic and focusing on advancing the middle class. Weaknesses- Clinton needs to increase the gap between her and her opponent Donald

  • Trump. The fact that she is deemed to be an

insider of Washington and appears to

  • untrustworthy. There is also the issue of

the e-mail fiasco which has cause a lot of people to call Clinton a liar. Opportunities – Although Clinton does not appear to be the ideal choice for her party, in the mind of some of her constitutes she is preferable to the Republican nominee. Since her opponent is viewed unfavorably Clinton can capitalize on the unpopularity

  • f her opposition.

Threats – The closeness of current polling percentage between the two candidates is definitely a threat to Clinton obtaining the presidential seat. Donald Trump and his appeal to certain youth demographic

Tactics

For the Clinton campaign the EVE PR strategist recommend a combination of the following tactics: Tactic 2: Radio Media Tours

  • Spokesperson conducting a series of interviews from on location
  • Interviews recorded for later use or broadcast live
  • Example: Strauss Radio strategies for Children’s Defense Fund

Tactic 3: Television

  • Spokesperson conducting a series of interviews form one location
  • Interviews recorded for later use or broadcast live
  • Example: Strauss Radio Strategies for Children’s Defense Fund

Our strategist believes that the introduction of a media tour, involving both radio and television appearances will provide Hillary Clinton with the necessary media coverage to help her refine her

  • image. In order to execute these strategies, we will use our

company’s close relationship with several large media corporations. We’re hoping to have Clinton present her presidential campaign platform in front of reporters from across the spectrum. We will stream the event via Facebook Live, radio stations, and television. These tactics will allow her to case a wider net, therefore including additional audiences. It is important that she capitalizes on the

  • pportunity in order for her to secure the necessary demographics.

Our team is currently researching to determine which networks will directly appeal to our target audiences. The presentations must also include several strong sound bites that will be able to be reused through out this election cycle.

Goal: For the youth demographic and other target demographics, ages 18 to 35 to be more receptive to Hillary Clinton and support her during the presidential election.
