  • Runway 9/27 is a major Logan runway that handles about 30% to 50%
  • f departures under all primary operating conditions
  • Rehabilitation is necessary to repair pavement cracking and

weathering, improve drainage and install new LED edge and centerline lights

  • Runway will be closed for about 75 days beginning mid-May
  • Originally scheduled for late August to late October- after the peak

summer travel period- the current, significant drop in flight operations has provided an opportunity to avoid major operational disruptions

  • Closure now will also minimize shift in flight patterns and avoid impacts

when flights return
